Mistakes are how every singer improves! With older students, I want to help students learn to recognize their own mistakes and areas they can improve on. I will always be ready to help them on trouble areas or encourage them when they get it right, but I want them to learn how to recognize it on their own so they can develop outside of a lesson! I always focus on proper and healthy singing technique, therefore, for every student, I start with physical and vocal warm up in order to develop fundamental skills of breathing and support. Then I move on to songs or arias (classical or pop), adjusting good vowels and body tensions to improve resonance and efficiency in singing.
