For voice I create my own custon lesson plans and use a variety of materials. Students will work on a great variety of repetorie from pop to renaissance. Students are encourgaed to learn to read music, with a great emphasis placed upon practical music theory. I aim to develop intellegent musical artists, foscuing upon intrepretation, critical thinking, historical considerations and creativity. For piano I general use the Faber and Faber method books unless I feel that a particular method would better benefit a specific student. Read More

Depending on my student's familiarity with their instrument, my approach to their lessons will differ accordingly. I thoroughly believe in teaching each student with a unique approach, one that caters both to their learning style and how comfortable they are playing in front of others. As a very shy child growing up, it was very difficult for me to play (and especially make mistakes) in front of my peers. I like to keep this in mind for my especially shy students. Read More

Hi! I'm Maeve. I am a professional soprano with 13 years of instruction and 4 years of paid experience as a performer under my belt. Since 2011, I have attended voice programs at Interlochen Center for the Arts, Brevard Music Center, and VOICExperience, and I regularly work in churches and sing weddings. I recently graduated from the University of Kentucky, where I studied with Dr. Dennis Bender.
