I have access to every jazz real book, and have many different lead sheets to tunes that aren't even included in them. I also have access to many different musical theatre books for all different voice types. For all students, I also enjoy diving into some music theory and explaining why things work and why things in music make sense! To begin with, I teach my students how to develop their own warm up method which includes breathing and stretching, vocalizations and good old fashioned solfege. You will learn to understand your own vocal mechanism and how it resonates, as well as how breath support works, and their effects on the singing voice. At the beginning of lessons, I always check in with them to see how their progress was for the week and any questions or concerns that arose in their practice.
