If you are interested in taking piano/keyboard, guitar or voice lessons...I would really like to be your music instructor! I will travel to your home, hoping to make it more convenient for those students that would like their lesson after school hours. You are also welcomed to my home music studio each week for your lesson, conveniently located in Anaheim. To tell you a little about myself, I was raised in a musical family introduced to music at a very young age. Read More

At night I founded my first rock band, Feedback, and later joined WD 40. Selected for the National Youth Orchestra of Canada in 1985, I went on to write scores for string ensembles, a passion I am pursuing as an arranger and composer. My interests are motivated by my passion for world musics and the rhythmic complexity they offer which became the subject of my thesis on Afro Cuban Rumba Guaguanco. My classical and world music knowledge was put to service as a co-producer and director for MuchMusic-Musimax and BRAVO! Read More

I am a music composer and vocalist who enjoys writing music that breaks harmonic and timbral conventions. I have spent the past 12 years of my life studying to become a better musician, performer, and composer. I love to use my knowledge and experience to teach the next generation of musicians and performers. In 2016, I graduated from UC Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Composition and Vocal Jazz Performance. Read More

Instruments: Voice

Since we are all individuals with our own stories to tell, our own desires and goals and our own way of developing it is essential to teach a lesson where each student evolves at their own pace with my guidance and encouragement. We set goals and work on their vocal books which can be used for any audition, performance or personal events. Students are eager to learn when they know they are able to choose their material while also knowing I will challenge them with my selections as well. Read More

Instruments: Voice

There are two major philosophies I've uncovered when teaching lessons. 1. The use of descending lines to erase the "break" in ones voice. Early while studying, myself, I was taught to sing ascending, trying to maintain the same sound - this is defeating. Rather, bringing the top down is the "way to go." 2. Keeping the sound forward makes changing from one vowel to another quite easy and palpable. We generally begin by humming, getting vibrations away from the throat and into the front of the mouth. I will start of by getting to know the student; their needs, goals, interests, experience, etc. We can start of with discussing these things and music interested. I will assign music and students may choose music to work on as well. The first lesson will be an introduction and then we will build repertoire. As we are working on music we will discuss ways of learning, memorizing, technical musical terms, and more. Read More

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
