All student clients receive artist development training according to their level of skill, I will complete a basic assessment to find out student goals and dreams. I will give students a professional critique of their performance or skill. Together we devise a performance action plan which outlines the students creative journey and desired outcome. if students would like to perform, they will have an option to perform at their desired place. (school, church, event, video etc.) Students receive a performance assessment which may or may not lead to additional advance training. Read More

I use the teaching method as previously described, and try to tailor my style for each student. Everyone learns, practices, and progresses uniquely -- so it's part of MY job to figure out the best approach to help each of my students. Some of my favorite works for guitar instruction are Guthrie Govan's Creative Guitar 1 and 2 as well as Carl Fischer's Guitar Grimoire. I typically will adjust my teaching style based on the age and experience of the student, as well as the goals put forth, as I believe it is imperative to meet a student at their specific aspirations. As I mentioned before, my teaching style can best be described as easygoing, but precise and adapted to each students needs. I focus on the person trying to learn as much as on the learning itself. Yet, Im not demanding or harsh in my delivery or expectations. Rather than a standard, vanilla approach, I try learn my students personality, learning style, and sense of humor pretty quickly and work to adapt the facts and knowledge of music to each student as an individual human, not an appointment.
