I am a multi-instrumentalist that enjoys playing different styles of music and am passionate about music theory. I have a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from California State University San Bernardino, as well as a Master of Music in Violin Performance from California Baptist University. My method varies from student to student - It really depends on the students level. For a beginner student, I would focus giving the basic music foundation for violin: posture and bow hold, solid intonation and tone, and good sense of rhythm. More importantly, I teach the student to be aware of how to create a beautiful sound versus a bad sound. Depending on the student's age, level and preference of genre, I pick out books suitable for each student, and also ask the student to bring in a piece or book they would like to work on.
