My method of teaching is centered around building technique and encouraging hard work, all whilst finding the inspiration within and keeping my students excited to learn.  In the first lesson, I have the student bring me a list of goals and then prepare future lessons individually tailored to their needs.  I teach vocal and breathing technique, repertoire and interpretation.  I also provide exercises that help tackle performance anxiety for those that need help with this common problem.  For my jazz students, I also offer the opportunity to learn improvisation and scatting.  Read More

As natural as a singing voice can be it still takes effort and hard work to maintain your sound or keep yourself relevant. I self taught myself a lot. Through this self teaching I was able to help others go through the same process a little easier. I spent hours if not shut ins (days of just soaking and singing) editing and correcting my tone. Developing and finding your voice (confidence in yourself), knowing your sound/ style, and finally finding your rhythm to where even if there is no beat you can become one and be the beat is the basics before any singer can bloom. Currently, I am an adjunct voice teacher at New York University while studying there for my Master of Music degree in classical voice along with an additional Post-Master's Advanced Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy (May 2020 candidate). My passion for singing dates back to when I was a child, singing in choirs and performing in churches. In 2011, I graduated from the Greatbach School of Music at Houghton College, earning a bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance with honors. I have been blessed to perform in several regional theatre productions, as well as two off-Broadway shows. I have brought my love of coaching and teaching to these productions.
