I fit my style to each student's individual demands. Whatever you are looking to achieve in your vocal training I will be there to meet. Lessons center on learning the biology of singing and wholistic understanding of how the body is the main instrument of the voice. Resonance, Articulation, Breathing, Posture and Articulation are just some aspects of your vocal training. Diction in five languages is also an option; healthy belting and even screaming for Metal is available too! Read More

My love of teaching started when I was a counselor at a musical summer enrichment program back in 2020. I got to work with so many young performers with varying skill levels and aided them in discovering their voice and confidence. Since then, I have begun my own private vocal coaching business and became a singing/musical theatre teacher at All Stars Dance Center in Westfield, MA. I love the look on my students faces they hit that high note or finish a difficult song that theyve worked so hard on! Read More

For all of my students, I let them pick a song (vocal) or piece (violin) that they would like to sing or play. This way I can analyze what level they are on. For my voice students, I start with vocal warm-up exercises of the different vowels. It helps me to understand their range as well as tone of voice. For my violin students, I usually stick with the Suzuki Method, or Essential Elements books, if they are in the more beginning stages. Read More

I cater the lessons towards what the student wants while emphasizing the importance of fundamentals and theory. I incorporate songwriting and improvisation into my lessons, as well as songs the student wants to learn. I believe all students should be encouraged to be creative, while still maintaining a strong emphasis on fundamentals, thus leading to the creation of their unique musical style. I generally tend to split the lessons up into warm up techniques, repertoire, sight reading, listening/dictation, discussing music the student likes/wants to learn, and improvisation and songwriting. No matter what their goals are, we always find a way to meet and surpass them. Although I am a classically trained soprano, I have experience both singing and teaching Musical Theatre and contemporary styles of singing. I am open to helping my students achieve what interests them and makes them happy. While I expect my students to practice and get better during our time together, I also hope to foster an environment where they can feel that they can relax, have fun, and make mistakes. Read More
Instruments: Voice
I like to begin with the basics of singing technique, sight reading, and music theory. In order to be a successful singer, one must be proficient in all of these! I like to assign music by the second or third lesson, depending on the student's readiness and ability. I typically assign one classical and/or one musical theater song, depending on the student's interest. I start with only these two genres because I feel that singing something that the student can hear on the radio can be difficult to sing while implementing the new technique they are learning in lessons with me.
