I have been discovering my love for teaching for the last 5 years. I started within my undergrad school. I graduated from Western Carolina University in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance (Classical) as well as a minor in Psychology. I was able to perform my first professional show with Asheville Lyric opera as a chorister in La Traviata in 2012. For younger students, especially children, I will begin their first vocal lesson by standing next to them and showing them how to stand with correct posture. Then I will move on to breathing by having the child place their hand on their diaphragm. I will show them that it is the muscle right above their stomach. In the best way possible, I will explain to them that in order to breathe correctly, they must be able to feel their stomach move in and out instead of their chest. Read More

I'm a Music Teacher/Vocal Coach in the Connecticut area where I began singing and playing the piano at the age of nine from various teachers throughout the area including the Neighborhood Music School and the Educational Center for the Arts. In 1992 I obtained a Bachelors in Music Education from Berklee College of Music and a M.F.A from Liberty University in Music and Worship.
