I began teaching private lessons four years ago in various genres such as jazz, pop, musical theater, and classical - with a bit of music theory for those who have expressed interest. Students of mine have participated in recitals and have written their own compositions. On top of private lessons, I was a Choral Music Instructor for the Massachusetts city, Chelsea, and its Community Youth Chorus. I am positive but realistic, flexible but grounded in technique, and create an open, honest, and focused lesson environment. I know the voice is personal for all singers; hearing critique can often be difficult and disheartening. With this in mind, I approach all students differently. My youngest students need very different approaches than the oldest, but I find that connecting, as humans, with all ages is imperative, no matter the person. Read More
