My teaching experience has been with All About Theatre Company since 2017. Teaching Kids-Teens how to sing, dance and act. I have been teaching private voice for the least year over zoom since the pandemic. Encouraging regular practice and developing a personal vocal exercise routine for every student is something I do for every student, every voice is unique so there is no one size fits all here. I have no "standard" method of teaching. I have use of massive resources and don't require my students to buy books. I feel that if you are enjoying the pieces you are working on, then you're more interested in your lessons. I work with you to create the perfect lesson for you. There are many methods in voice, but my favorite teaching method is Vaccai. Its a simple and thorough method that explores intervalic reading and understanding theory, as well as classical breath training. I also teach vocal improvisation with jazz standards and allow my students to research about other styles and genres that they are curious about. The most important thing is they keep a good vocal health practice that allows them to be versatile and creative. Singing is such a personal and meditative instrument that the more time you spend understanding your voice the more you will be able to achieve.
