I suggest repertoire based on a student's previous experience, if any, or relate repertoire to their life experience, if appropriate. I prefer to do half-hour lessons for beginners and young musicians. After more lessons can be prepared, forty-five minute or hour long lessons are more appropriate. For trumpet students, I rely heavily on the Arban method for the essentials and then add other materials depending on the student's goals. Berklee has always been a dream of mine. I studied Music Therapy at Berklee College of Music in 2015. I worked with children and adults with developmental disabilities and mental health. I had been an ardent member of the Berklee Indian Ensemble. I worked with various artists such as Vijay Prakash, Raghu Dixit, Indian Ocean and Shreya Ghoshal. I also went on a tour with them once.
