Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, I have entertained audiences in several different countries and I bring a unique blend of multicultural experiences into everything I do. I grew up in Los Angeles and later relocated to the east coast to pursue my music degree. I live in Amherst, Massachusetts where I teach beginning, intermediate, and advanced vocal students via Facetime and Zoom as well as in person lessons in various locations. In my free time I love to travel. I have often traveled to perform in places such as the Walt Disney Concert Hall, Sydney Opera House, and Carnegie Hall, but I also enjoy getting lost across the world just for fun! Read More

I am currently fourth year senior Music Education major student at Western Connecticut State University who will be earning a B.S. Music Education in May 2019. I am currently a classical voice student in my studies, but serve as the accompanist for the Western Connecticut State University Concert Chorale. I like to begin with getting a sense of where the student is in their musical development. Then, it's all about the basics! I address breathing, body alignment, relaxation/tension, and all of the aspects of singing through exercises tailor-made to address the student's individual and immediate needs. For most of my students, I will provide specific pieces that will help in their development and keep their interest. My teaching experience is fairly new but as a senior I helped many of the incoming freshman with their technique and how to approve upon it. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule i one of the key points I like t emphasize for all students, as it helps the student to progress and gain a higher understanding and confidence in their voice. Every lesson begins with play! Learning is easiest when fun. My lesson plans typically follow helping the student develop a practice routine. This is customized to their needs. Then I help evaluate their progress -- perhaps they are learning a new song. Listening to what the student plays is important! We play together as if their are melodies. Much of my teaching is mental coaching to boost confidence so that the student can focus on the emotion and feel of the music. Read More
