I am a motivated and fun-loving music teacher of all age ranges. I have been teaching private voice and piano lessons since I was a senior in high school, and I love working with all of my students and watching them grow throughout the course of our lessons. I graduated magna cum laude from The Hartt School in 2001, receiving my BFA in Musical Theatre Performance. A year after I graduated from college, I knew that I wanted to teach in schools along with teaching privately, so I got my PreK thru 12th Grade Music Teaching Certification for the State of CT through The ARC Program, and have been teaching in both the private and public school settings ever since. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with a variety of beginner voice books based of the students interest. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. I am a dedicated and determined voice teacher, with a passion rooted in the desire to develop a healthy vocal technique. In 2022, I graduated with my Masters of Music in Vocal Performance from Binghamton University. Over the past ten years, I have spent time performing on stage in concerts, operas, and musical theatre. With my voice students, we begin by studying how the voice works and we develop a routine of exercises that help develop the proper coordination necessary for healthy vocal production.
