Depending on what we need to work, I will spend the lessons focusing on certain areas to improve (e.g. breath support, jaw/neck tension, posture, pitch, range, diction, phrasing, etc.). Voice lessons are for the growth and benefit of the student; therefore, my goal as a teacher is to push my students to be the best they can be. While I may use anecdotes of my own experience in lessons, I am helping my students to become future versions of themselves and not my own clones. Just a few years later I had given invited solo concerts at a number of historic venues across the region.
