My lessons for vocalists are divided into two sections: technique and repertoire. For singers, breath management skills are of primary importance as this directly affects intonation. I like to begin with Anne Peckham's The Contemporary Singer. My students can choose any songs they would like to sing while we work on musicianship skills including expression and lyrical phrasing. I'm an experienced singer and teacher and love sharing the joy of discovery of sound and music with children and young people. My degree is in classical vocal performance and I've lived all over the U.S. and maintained a teaching studio over the last 20+ years. I've taught early childhood music, led choirs for children, teens and women and have worked with many schools and churches.
