My main priority is creating a fun, safe place where we can explore your singing goals together. My two main priorities in teaching are helping you create the best "beauty of tone" possible while maintaining optimal vocal health. While we go through vocal warm-ups, I like to mix sensational explanations with anatomical information while keeping the vibe fun and light. I'm a cheerleader at heart, and I find so much joy in helping others improve their singing! Read More

My teaching style really focuses around developing a love for your instrument. If the student loves their instrument and the music that is written for their instrument, they will feel encouraged to practice. I try to pick up on the student's personality and learning styles and make each person's lesson a combination of my teaching styles and what works best for the student. Once we find the routine and groove that works for the both the student and myself, then the learning should come along easily and fun. Read More

For this reason, the only permanent thing we absolutely can pass on to our students is the love of music and the art of being a good listener. Read More

Apart from treating time as the precious resource it is (meaning I will give your time the utmost respect and expect the same from you) . . . my style is friendly, patient, and "open" to an extreme. If you have particular goals, communicate them to me, and I will teach you everything relevant to them. If you don't, I will help you identify your goals. If you want to remain "goal-free" (for example, because you used to have some forceful teacher, punishing you for your "lack of dedication" or the like), I have a blast simply looking into facets of music with a curious student. Hello, my name is Briona. I'm a Vocalist with ten years of work experience onboard the top cruise lines as a Lead Vocalist. As a resident Vocalist onboard I had the opportunity to travel the world and experience cultural immersion from Europe, the Middle East, Australia, China, Japan, South America to the Antarctic circle. My 1st year in college I was the worst student in voice I was pitchy and had no access to my Soprano range and through excellent vocal coaches I was able to exit college with paid opportunities and was surprised to learn a lot of my pitch issues was because I was a mezzo soprano who had always been taught to sing like an alto.
