I have been in love with music for as long as I can remember! Growing up under the impression of my father, who was always involved in playing instruments and singing from a young age, you could say that it is in my DNA. From 2003-2011, nearly my entire primary school education, I was trained in music theory, music performance in orchestra and voice, and singing for the stage. Over the years I have accumulated various awards and recognition including Superior ratings in sight reading on double bass, outstanding vocal performance from the Miami Conservatory of Music, and performing alongside the county's best in the Miami Dade Honor's Orchestra. There I coached choirs of beginners to sing classical and folk music of high quality and did outstanding concerts around the island. All along I never ceased to teach myself new disciplines. I self taught counterpoint Renaissance style and some time ago while in Toronto Canada I was able to coach a university student there on Counterpoint when she was having trouble for her test in which she finally excelled after our lessons. My teaching style is individualized to meet the needs of the students. I like to use a portion of the first lesson to discuss the goals and musical interest of the student regardless of age. I encourage beginner students to learn basic theory to develop rudimentary skills. I then try to incorporate a student’s favorite music into the lesson plans. My teaching started in the final years of high-school. I started teaching trumpet to kids. Once I started college in Buenos Aires(Argentina) in a music composition degree I worked with several masters in a multitude of instruments(violin, flute, trumpet, guitar) which i was able to start teaching and performing live. At the same time I developed a craving for movement practice and martial arts. This 'kinetic' approach allowed me to be much better with my students, analyzing their body and consequently their needs in regards to practice. Read More
