I love both teaching and performing voice and piano to all ages. My greatest passion is getting to share my love and lifelong pursuit of music with my students, no matter their level. Singing is a difficult skill to teach. Our instrument is internal and is affected by our emotions, stress level, how much sleep we've had, even what we ate for breakfast! Because of this, I feel it is important to maintain a comfortable environment. I encourage my students to let go of their self-doubt and allow themselves to make mistakes. I grew up singing in a well-established school choir and won multiple awards in the local school music festival as soloist, duet partner, and chorister. I was accepted at the Chinese University of Hong Kong with Honors at entrance and continued to garner merit-based scholarships during college and eventually graduated with First Class Honors.
