I'm very passionate about teaching and love to work with all ages of students. I had a studio in Mountain Top, PA for 25 years until our family moved to Utah. I recently relocated to the Lehigh Valley. I've performed with many orchestras and have coached many students to be able to compete and perform at Carnegie Hall for many years. This has given my students great success. I have found that once they connect to their breath, they connect to themselves and their vocal mechanisms more effectively. After the breathing exercises, I work on vocal technical exercises for the first half of the lesson. During this time, I teach my students about vocal health, vocal agility, pitch, vocal strength, expanding their ranges, and much more. I encourage my students to establish a consistent practice schedule in addition to their lessons, as it offers paramount support to the material being studied, reinforces and conditions the instruments, and greatly contributes to the progress of the student. I always want to make sure my students can apply what they learn in my lessons to their participation in their actual choirs. If a student is preparing for a PMEA Choir audition, I will help them prepare the repertoire as well as provide a mock audition. If they sing in a church choir, we will work on sight singing hymns as well as working on any difficult literature. If they simply want to learn more about music theory, I will focus on that. After college and marrying, I spent several years in Greece raising my daughters. There, I launched a career in teaching English. My students ranged in age from 3 years old to 65. My musical backround made the lessons fun. I helped organize concerts, musicals and performed with bands. I also welled with pride in watching my daughters participate in these events. .
