Someone first starting off , We would first concentrate on finger strength. Excercises that are fun but also help build the neccasary tools. My student load for teaching was quite large right off the bat, but I found out quickly that it was absolutely wonderful to teach so many different kinds of singers! The students I teach at the college are mostly Theater Arts majors, but all of them enjoy learning a basis in classical technique.
