As far as my methods, I like a healthy, fun approach. I like to keep my students engaged while teaching them proper voice technique. While working with soloist, I focus on the strength of that singer. We will work on what they are good at and make it even better. My teaching style is one that is not used much at beginning levels but for me, that's why it works. Teaching a young student how to play the instrument by sound and not by reading notes allows them to use their imagination while playing. When students figure out for themselves, that is when the best kind of learning happens. One of my biggest loves is to help my students to learn interpertation. You cannot know how happy it makes me when I see a student use the music to express who they really are.
