The most important goal I have in teaching voice and piano is to grow the student's love of music. I love customizing lessons to a student's abilities, interests, and learning style. I prioritize the student's enjoyment above all else, but students who make an effort to work and learn will always find their instrument to be more exciting and fun. For this reason, my lessons are always highly goal-oriented, regardless of how fun they are! Read More

Throughout my years at college and afterwards I have taught the full gambit of ages. Student teaching had me in the elementary classroom teaching K-5 students the fundamentals of music as well as teach high school singers the importance of harmony and support in their singing; my first teaching job had me help middle school singers find their voices as they were actively changing and build a safe space for singers and musicians of all types. Music is my life, my passion: I constantly maintain my demonstration of this, in my manner, my teaching, my performance. This, I find, is infectious to all who cross my path. I also maintain an attitude of gratitude for my talent, and my parents' love, support and encouragement of my music. By them placing me into lessons at the age of 6 (accordion!), along with my drive and dedication and high level of musical education, I am a full-time musician, performer, and music educator. The goal for each lesson is for the student to notice their progress and develop a passion for music. Student input is very important to me. In my lessons I strive to make the student feel comfortable enough to ask questions and make comments about their own progress. I am encouraging yet firm and expect a lot from my students. My lessons are fun and informative, and they help me convey my love of music! Read More
