My teaching style is by assigning studies and etudes to develop fundamentals while simultaneously incorporating the learnt fundamentals into “real-time”, on the job training! I have learned all of my most valuable lessons while performing and being put on the spot; I will teach my students how to be prepared for any situation, not only in regard to music but also in relation to life, by having a calm and steady approach to the task at hand! For younger students I like to give them weekly practice charts so they can see how much work they're putting in. If they complete enough practice charts, they get a reward. I find this is very helpful in the beginning stages of learning for younger musicians. For older students, I really nudge them to take auditions for a higher seat at school, or depending on how serious they are for youth orchestras and summer programs. Read More

Hi, I am a music instructor who strives to meet the musical needs and desires of every student of mine, through sharing my passion and love of music. I like to learn what my students' musical taste is, while at the same time making sure that they learn the necessary musical theory, history, and technique existent in the music we work on. I graduated from Long Island University-CW Post with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education and I graduated from SUNY StonyBrook with a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies, focusing solely on music. The more you enjoy your lessons, the more motivated youll be to prepare for them and to do well. Fun can come in many forms. I will make lessons fun with students personality and enthusiastic approach to music, alone. Read More

Having worked with a variety of musicians, I now know that a real teacher needs to be a human of great discipline and compassion. I sincerely believe in a healthy and holistic approach to teaching. This is why I am always concentrating on the mental and physical well-being of my students first. I pay particular attention to mental readiness, self-confidence, and stage-fright control. For instance, I offer my students some breathing exercises or ask them to write a good self-critique as homework. Read More

After teaching there for a few months i was then recommended by a fellow teacher to instruct at a school in Darien, CT as well as their sister store where I developed a strong clientele. After teaching for the past six years i know that this is my passion in life. Read More
