I started teaching privately in 2010 and have helped students of all ages prepare for their exams (grades 1 to 8), auditions and other performances. Most of my students are long-term students and have been learning with me for 3-4 years, with some up to 6 years. I take great pride in their success and they have had a 100% success rate in the ABRSM exams. In addition to teaching privately, I have also taught in various primary schools in the London Borough of Newham (including in Winsor and Park primary schools), teaching violin to small groups of students in Years 5 and 6 (4th and 5th Grade) to take steps 1, 2 and grade 1 in the ECAM programme created by the London College of Music and the University of West London. By the time I was a senior in high school I taught 10 students a week, all based on word of mouth recommendation through contacts at my former middle school. Before anything, I find out what the goal of the lesson is. I always want to know what the students want, so I can plan around them. The lesson will always be about the student! After discussing the goal of the lesson, we will find repertoire, etudes, or other materials that either benefit the student technically, or will simply be enjoyable to the student. Since the goal of the student can either be anything, including playing professional recitals, or simply playing a Taylor Swift song from the radio, my priority will be that the student is enjoying their craft. After finishing an apprenticeship in carpentry and becoming a certified carpentry journeyman, I worked as a trade showroom carpenter in Berlin and Vienna. For my mandatory conscription in Austria, I served as an ambulance paramedic. I obtained a bachelor's and a master's in music and dance performance and education at leading universities in Salzburg and Barcelona.
