My teaching experience dates back to my junior year of high school. I first began providing private lessons to local children that attended the local middle school that I had also attended myself. Consistency is the most important thing that I have stressed to all of my students. Consistency in practicing is vital to training your lips, fingers, and lungs to match what you have in your mind. Each part of their individual practice session will have an 'aim' for students to focus on while they are playing. By teaching thoughtful practice, students can avoid wasted practice time and find success at more frequent intervals. With guitar and piano there are several routes one could choose for performance, and each one has different teaching fundamentals.
