Instruments: Trumpet
My journey in music took a couple of unexpected turns. As a youth, it was my intention to get a degree in trumpet performance, but life held a different path for me and I put the instruments away. Some years later, my wife- knowing how much I continued to enjoy music- suggested I take up trumpet again and I did, for which I'll be eternally grateful! I now perform in multiple ensembles in Westchester and Fairfield counties as well as in New York City in addition to maintaining a teaching studio where I can share my love of music. Read More

After graduating from college I joined the Peace Corps. I spent 2 years in Tehran, Iran playing in the Tehran Symphony Orchestra. I returned to the U.S. and went back to school to get my Masters degree. I worked as a music teacher in the Bronx, N.Y. for several years. After that I worked at an electronic music studio in Hawthorne, N.Y. The studio eventually shut down and I began teaching Band at the Stamford Public Schools where I taught music at the elementary, middle and high school levels. Read More

My teaching methods are essentially designed to give the student maximum command of his/her skills on their chosen instrument. First, all students must know the music essentials and the masters, especially on their instrument. Technique must be perfected by daily practice. I seek from every individual the highest level that they can attain to. No one knows exactly what that is but what is surprising and refreshing are the boundaries once thought impossible to accomplish have been broken. Read More

I am a hardworking and passionate instructor who wants to instill this into my students. I graduated from University of Hartford’s Hartt School of Music with a degree in Acoustical Engineering, concentration in Trumpet in 2017. I graduated as the valedictorian of my class. I have played in many places across the state of CT and have had many opportunities to perform and learn from many incredible instructors. From these opportunities, I have been able to develop many styles of teaching, which allows me to teach whatever my students will want/need to learn. Read More

I am a passionate elementary school music educator who can "technically" play most instruments but trumpet was first in my heart when started playing it in 4th grade! I continued with it growing up and all the way through college where I graduated with a bachelor of science in music education K-12. I am currently in my 7th year of teaching elementary general music, chorus, beginner band. I love working with elementary students during their group lessons for band, however, I also enjoy working on higher level trumpet material for middle or high school students who want to prepare for auditions or improve their playing throughout school or their personal music journey! I have played all around the country including Texas, Colorado, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, California, Georgia, New Jersey and many more. In 2020, I qualified as a finalist for the Northeast Euphonium Tuba Regional Conference Military Euphonium Mock Band Audition Competition. For piano, I have had 8 years of training and have won many competitions. I currently play euphonium and trombone in brass quintets, tuba/euphonium quartets, and piano/keyboard in musical pit orchestras. Read More

I normally use the Standard of Excellence method books for most of my students; however, I am open minded to adjusting to each individual student's musical needs, whether it be Jazz, Classical, or whatever style music the student is focusing on. For Drummers, I prefer the Haskell Harr Method, or the Buddy Rich Method Book, as well as the Breeze Easy Method Book. For piano instruction, I prefer the Faber Piano Method Books, as they are tailored to the students' individual needs. Read More
