I have had 25 years of experience teaching both privately and in the public schools of Abington, Mass. Many of my students have gone on to major in music in college. Many have become professional performers in jazz bands, concert bands, and symphony orchestras. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. My teaching experience began in 2009 when I played in a marching band of concourse in Brazil. After one year as a trumpet player the conductor ask me to teach the beginner students. I taught there about two years and I am proud to say that two of my students followed the music career, and one of them is getting graduate at Sao Paulo University in music education. I always provided different exercises and in different ways to they improve technically and encouraged them to listen and play the songs they like, to make the practice not a obligation but a funny moment.
