I began playing the piano when I was eight, picked up the saxophone at ten, and have been playing flute and clarinet now for about six years. Practicing on a regular schedule is the best way for young students to improve, as well as older students to continue to perfect their technique. Next, I observe the student's playing, in an attempt to determine where the gaps are in their development.
