I am a professional trumpet player and educator. I am currently an adjunct professor at Richard Stockton University in New Jersey where I teach trumpet and coach a small jazz ensemble. I also teach many students privately out of my home studio. I have a very busy performing schedule currently and have been fortunate enough to perform all over the world with my own group as well as many other artists as diverse as Lou Rawls and the Glenn Miller Orchestra.
I have been teaching many years now. I have been a faculty member at Richard Stockton University since 2008 where I teach private trumpet lessons and coach a small Jazz ensemble. I have also taught at University of Pennsylvania and Swarthmore College. In addition, I taught for many years at Hambros House of Music in south jersey where I taught mostly beginners how to play the trumpet.
For beginners I will typically start out of a book called Essential Elements. Once the students have a grasp of that book it is essential we get in to Arbans Conservatory Method for Trumpet. From there we can go in any direction the student wants. Be it Jazz or Classical.
I love to see my students succeed! I try to find out what inspires the student so I can tailor my instruction to their wants and needs. A daily practice routine is essential!
Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.Ok
Are you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
