I believe each of us learn differently; for some students I find that they are very hands on and prefer that I show them how to do something and then allow them to perfect it others I find that they need a little more guidance and need me to go at a slower pace but regardless of the student's learning language I take my time to understand where they are and outline a plan to help them exceed to the next level. My teaching started in the final years of high-school. I started teaching trumpet to kids. Once I started college in Buenos Aires(Argentina) in a music composition degree I worked with several masters in a multitude of instruments(violin, flute, trumpet, guitar) which i was able to start teaching and performing live. At the same time I developed a craving for movement practice and martial arts. This 'kinetic' approach allowed me to be much better with my students, analyzing their body and consequently their needs in regards to practice. Read More

Since the age of 10 (20 years ago), I have heard the trombone on a regular basis. My brother was serious about playing so naturally I absorbed the sound, and an idea of how to approach the instrument from listening to his lessons and practice. My interest in the trombone has taken me across the country, and the globe, to work with various performers in various contexts. My primary teachers were performers in the legendary low brass sections of the Chicago, NY, LA, San Francisco, symphonies. Read More

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for playing trumpet. Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs. Read More

For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Faber collection (Piano basic adventures) or Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. Read More
