Instruments: Piano Voice Trombone Organ Music

For my beginner students, who are younger, I start off with the Faber series in the Primer levels. After progressing through the first few levels of the series, I then start to introduce solo repertoire depending on the interests of the student. For my older students, we also go through the Faber Adult Piano Adventures book, where we learn the basics of piano along with some fun pieces. I teach more information outside of the book which is not taught until later to get ahead. Read More

I am a creative, passionate trombonist, composer, arranger, and teacher who enjoys just about any aspect of music. I graduated from Stetson University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Music in Trombone Performance, and was recently accepted to the University of Central Florida's Master of Arts program, focusing on trombone performance and music theory. So far, I have performed on alto, tenor, or bass trombone in Florida All-State orchestras, the 2007 Honor Orchestra of America, and nearly every possible large and small ensemble at Stetson University, as well as with the Youth Brass Band of Central Florida and the Southern Winds. I've found the best way to teach is to cater to each student's interest. While early or beginning players may require some fundamental grunt work, there is always a way to assure that it's fun too. Earlier students would need to start learning the basics: rhythm, learning to read, developing technique through scales etc. of which there are many methods. As students mature, I feel the Suzuki method for aspiring classical students is the best route (there are multiple books in this series) along with some other extensive and more challenging works. Instruments: Trombone

I have been teaching select students on the side for as long as I can remember. In addition to the basics of the trombone, I'm a big believer in the power of transcriptions and listening as a way to advance personal study and practice, which has produced some really great players. It's so important for students to hear what the tone of the horn should sound like, so they can start to emulate that themselves. Read More

Instruments: Trombone Euphonium Music

For beginning students I combine solfege, breathing exercises and methods that fits the student's goals. Once the students not only progress, but also tailor the path that want to follow, I will adjust every single aspect to help you get to your goals in a smart way. The most important thing is to always find ways to have fun and always avoid frustration and avoid to create bad habits that could be developed with careless instruction. Read More

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
