Eventually adding some beginner adult students into my rotation of kids as well! I taught a few college level students throughout my college years whenever I could and took on summer students during my breaks! Through lessons, I hope to help that passion blossom and teach that student how to best express themselves through music. Upon first meeting me students I like to do an informal lesson to evaluate where they are in terms of technique on their instrument, knowledge of music fundamentals (harmony, theory and rhythm). Most importantly it is a place where students can learn more about themselves, life, and what kind of musicians/artist that they would like to become. The students, parents, and I set goal based on each individual student's musical interest and needs. Every artist is on their own journey. Older students will also play from Rochut's Melodious etudes and the Rubank Advanced methods. With older students I also like to transition into some more challenging arenas such as the Blazhevitch books. Any advanced students who want to focus on jazz will be using the Jazz Conception Method.
