I will share fun and efficient ways to practice so that you get immediate results. If desired, I also guarantee you will be playing a blues and improvising within a maximum of 6 weeks as long as you practice at least 10 minutes, three times a week.  You will have the option of playing along with recordings minus your part so that you can experience the joy of ensemble playing early on in the safety of your own home. I love creating small ensemble groups of students at similar levels and arranging concerts at regular intervals. I'm a tender, loving, and caring instructor who's passionate about sharing what I know about music with those I teach and mentor. In 2002, I graduated from Triton Regional School District with a Diploma where I studied long and hard the fundamentals of music as far as performance and writing. From 2002-2003, I decided to go to Northern Essex Community College to focus on General Academics before attending an institution that focused on music. Read More

It depends on the age of the student, but there are plenty of method books and pieces that can both teach a student music theory and notation, as well as their performance skill. With beginners its perfect to start with the Rubank series from Beginner-Intermediate. Many students are given the "Standard of Excellence" series by their school teacher and that series works as well. I believe these books are a great start, but can get old fast. Read More

My approach to doing lessons tends to be high enthusiasm and high standards. I am a firm believer in the idea of using focused practice and developing healthy self-criticism skills to build character. Creating lofty (but achievable) goals, setting standards, and persevering through challenges, is not only a great way to become a better musician, but is also a great way to become a better person. It is with this concept that I approach my lessons. Read More

Music has been my passion since grade school. I began teaching in the fall of 2006 and have engaged with students of all ages. I welcome the wide eyed enthusiastic child who can't wait to learn and perform, as well as the reluctant, but determined adult who just wants to play for fun or take on a new challenge. After attending the Berklee College of Music in Boston for 2 years, I joined Merrimack Valley's favorite local band the B. Read More

My style is very laid back but super informative. I have studied with at least 5 different fantastic teachers that have all taught me how I want to go about teaching my students. By being constructive and kind, I feel as though I see the most progress. In addition I am a huge proponent of singing. I believe that if you can sing the part you can play the part. My method includes a Singing, buzzing and then playing which will help incorporate the ear into every musical thing we do. Read More

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
