I have over 15 years experience teaching privately as well as teaching band and orchestra in public schools. At one time I taught thirty-eight, half hour band and orchestra sessions every week. I began teaching when I was a freshman in High School and I continued with a full-time load of students throughout all four years because of how much I loved it! Eventually adding some beginner adult students into my rotation of kids as well! I taught a few college level students throughout my college years whenever I could and took on summer students during my breaks! I began my musical journey since before grade school, learning piano and other percussive instruments. I immediately took a strong liking towards music and followed it through all my years in school, learning brass instruments and refining my practices along the way. in 2018, I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Performance. Along with over 4 years of teaching, I've had the experience of touring and performing in various venues around the country and across multiple genres, such as performing with orchestras in Boston Symphony Hall, as well as performing with popular reggae artists in Los Angeles venues. I now teach music at the Boston Higashi School for students with Autism. I am still playing my trombone as well as teaching private lessons and I plan to give some recitals next year. I am also pursuing my other interests such as teaching ballroom dance. Besides from music alone, I enjoy getting to know people, learn new things, exploring deep philosophical/psychological questions regarding humanity, life, and existence, all forms of art especially dance, and finally, nature walks. :) Read More
