Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. When I start out with a student, I want to know what music they like to listen to and what they want to learn to play. I always find that it is important to connect the music to what the student is passionate about. This connection allows them to be even more excited about learning music theory fundamentals and scales, which are the building blocks to greater musical expertise. Funnily enough, my first private lesson student was actually a peer while I was in high school who wanted some tips and tricks.
