Currently, I work as a piano accompanist and lesson instructor at a K-8 music school. This occupation allows me to work with a wide variety of students with different interests and ability levels. I began teaching when I was a freshman in High School and I continued with a full-time load of students throughout all four years because of how much I loved it! Eventually adding some beginner adult students into my rotation of kids as well! I taught a few college level students throughout my college years whenever I could and took on summer students during my breaks! My experience as a performer is headlined by my 12 week tour as a trombonist with the show "Blast! the Music of Disney" in Japan. I have also, in the state of Iowa, played with a number groups including churches, rock bands, New Orleans style brass bands, British style brass bands, symphonic bands, symphony orchestras, chamber groups, and musical theater pit orchestras.
