We will continue focusing on band literature, contemporary, classical, or solo literature depending on the goals of the students and their interests. My teaching experience dates back to when I was 16 years old and started teaching students from the church that I played piano at. I've been teaching full time since I was 25 years old, and I love teaching. I believe students progress faster when they are learning to play their favorite songs, and are having fun with learning to play the piano. I also encourage students to learn to improvise and compose their own music by teaching them composition, harmony, rhythm, and practicing to backing tracks. Read More

I am a recent college graduate who specializes in classical saxophone, but has experience in all genres including jazz and rock. I have taught private lessons for several years, and my students have achieved the highest honors at regional and state festivals. Recently, I performed as featured soloist with the Minot Symphony Orchestra, playing Jaques Ibert's Concertino da Camera. During my collegiate career I traveled and performed internationally, and sought out opportunities to study under some of the world's most renowned saxophonists, including Eugene Rousseau, Marie-Bernadette Charrier, and Otis Murphy. I began my interest in music through band in school, and my love for it grew as I developed as a musician. I then began transposing music, composing music, and began to learn the keyboard as well.
