Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I started teaching when i started college. I was first a substitute teacher. From then, I slowly built up my student database. I have worked for many music schools and have always had a packed schedule. I make sure the student feels at home and comfortable when taking lessons. I like to use Youtube and Spotify and Tidal when teaching so students know that I am tapped in to the trends of today while teaching them "old school" fundamentals. Most voice students cannot play piano, so I will provide links that they can use at home practicing. I use a Bastein method series as well as Alfred Method series always understood a grading picture from pre A to book H also use technique and theory books to make a well rounded education in understanding and performing on the piano. Hannon as well as some other books would be used. as well as i use bel canto technique for singing which is controlling the vocal cords the alignment and how they work also extensive training on vowel placement and positioning of vocal chords thru singing in particular at the break in vocal range. For beginning students who are children, I start with the book "Learn to play piano" for piano students and for guitar "Learn to play guitar." It is a basic book with specific essential elements for reading and understanding music. As the student progresses I use to introduce songs for their repertoire applying what they leaned in the book.
