In May of 2023, Lynlia graduated with a Master of Arts in Performing Arts Administration at New York University. She previously received a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Chinese Language Literature at CUNY Hunter College under the Macaulay Honors Program. In 2019, Lynlia completed her capstone year in Taiwan under the American Councils Language Flagship Program, where she studied Mandarin extensively and worked as an intern at the Taiwan Philharmonic. Music is a great art form to express emotion and passion for something we cannot say in words. In church, I teach the choir to express their feelings of joyfulness when praising God. Outside church, I've taught privately in piano and voice for twelve years, five with Musika. I always encourge my students to practice with patience daily for 15-20 minutes in order to successfully progress. Most importantly, they must have fun, smile and play/sing with excitement. I began teaching while I was pursuing my undergraduate degree at Malone University, where I earned a degree in Commercial Music Technology, but also studied piano pedagogy. I taught students through the Piano Preparatory department at Malone for two years. After graduating and moving to New York, I began to teach privately. I also spent a year teaching at the Mike Risko Music School in Ossining, New York. I have a small number of students who I teach in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Read More

It gives you better vocal control, larger ranges, and overall finesse. Through both my teachers I also learned a lot about different techniques on piano. For most piano students I start them off with 'An All In One Beginner Piano Course' with Andrew Fling. This introduces the piano in such an interesting way and has students advancing in only a few short lessons.
