I recently graduated from the Mannes School of Music in New York City with a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance, studying with Rebecca Fischer. I grew up in Northern Virginia and started the violin and piano when I was 3 years old. I believe, especially for beginners and younger students, a good atmosphere is the most important thing; I want them to have a good impression of music and the instrument. There are a multitude of ways to learn the drums so I believe it is important to find the right way for each student. While growing up in San Diego I served as the principal flutist of the San Diego Youth Symphony, and played with local community orchestras.
