Encouraging regular practice is important to produce consistent results. My method makes understanding the breathing, support and execution of the voice the first priority.After this is achieved, exercises are assigned to further develop range, control, strength and vocal agility. The bottom line is that although it takes years to develop a strong, skillful and sensitive singer, it should not take years for a singer with good tutelage and a willingness to work hard, to sing competently. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more.
