A Texas native, Clynt grew up exposed to a variety of music. The southern influence of blues, gospel, country, and jazz were a huge part of his musical upbringing. I approach teaching on an individual basis, meaning it's important to me to know the goals, hopes, passions, and if applicable, the worries or insecurities the student is feeling. In a first lesson I identify something that is special and unique about each student, and build their technique from this place. I find this helps the difficult areas feel a little less challenging because they already have something they feel proud of when working through the discomfort of something new or intimidating. Most importantly, we are all here to have fun and enjoy playing music.  I always encourage my students to take risks, have a laugh and ask questions.  I work to build the student's confidence in their playing, ability to practice well, ability to perform in public and ability to be comfortable making mistakes.  We all progress at various rates and progress at any level is an accomplishment that each student should be proud to achieve.  If a student or parent of a student expresses their interested to move forward in a serious capacity, I am more than happy to encourage such movement. I first started teaching when my piano teacher assigned me to be her assistant back in 2009, I provided her 7-28 year old students with singing lessons. As I proven myself to be an accomplished instructor I received a job as Choir Instructor at School of Music 'Vladimir Djordjevic', where I worked for 1 year before heading to Boston to start my studies at Berklee. In 2010 I started teaching private lessons part time in my home studio, where I conducted voice, piano, music theory, and solfeggio lessons to a total of 16 students, who showed incredible improvements over all 4 years that they stayed under my instruction.
