I founded my own orchestra called Ensemble 212 in New York and we have received critical acclaim for our innovative programming of works by living composers, exciting interpretations of the standard repertoire, and my own arrangements and transcriptions. For younger students I like the Alfreds method books . I also use the Piano Adventures books as well as Hal Leonard for adults. I like to combine what the student is looking for musically and build upon that while supplementing the method book. For younger students I tried to engage them by making the lesson fun. I teach violin for all levels and beginner/intermediate piano. I encourage all my students to learn how to read music and have a basic understanding of theory.
