I am a versatile music teacher. As an undergraduate at Ithaca College, I learned each band and orchestra instrument from the college instructor. For example, I learned to play the oboe from the oboe professor. We had to make our own reeds and use them to play our final exam. For beginning piano students, I use Alfred's All-in-one Piano Course books. These books combine repertoire and theory, thereby cutting down on the number of books a new student needs to purchase. I use a variety of materials for voice students. I may ask that my voice students purchase books of repertoire that contain songs useful for building on their strengths and working on their weaknesses. I have been teaching drumset since 2004 and piano since 2012. I have taught at Mom's Music in Louisville, Kentucky and Ohio State University. I teach students from all ages and backgrounds and teach drumset at any level and piano from beginner level to intermediate. I performed in the school choir throughout my education and I also performed in my high school's concert band.
