I generally choose to use Faber as a method book for all my beginning students, using the age appropriate track for each student ranging from too young to read yet to adult learners. I believe that both the lesson book and the theory books are highly important and necessary. Depending on the student and their wants and needs, other books for each level may be added. Once a basic comprehension of reading music and technique have been achieved, I like to branch out into other repertoire of whichever style or styles are most interesting to the student. Read More

My teaching style is instill the love of music in students. I do want my students to grow up and still playing piano because they love to play, not because their parents forced them to play. I want them love piano from the bottom of their hearts. In order to achieve that, I adjust the material according to the student's progresses. I started teaching right after I graduated from Berklee. I have worked in studios , but have been self employed for the most part. It’s very rewarding and creative that way. I have played 3,000 performances in my career, which gives me a unique perspective on teaching. I have run rock camps as well. I prepped the singers, drums, bass, keyboards, and guitar players.
