I always work with a method book, and have a range of fun books to choose from from beginner to advanced for guitar and piano. I use a separate sheet of paper as a log of each day's lesson at the end to show what we worked on, what to practice, and other notes or positive remarks ( ‘great job’, etc.) With older students I encourage exploring your own musical tastes and learning from the artists you like. I also tend to be a visual instructor , meaning I like to use tricks to teach students different vocal technique. Although I do not mind accommodating to a students needs if their instruction is to be taught differently. I am a pianist/musician who is passionate about teaching and sharing my love of music. I grew up in Mexico City and won a scholarship to study at the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy. I then continued my studies at The Oberlin Conservatory and earned a Master's Degree at The Boston Conservatory.
