Ive been also teaching piano for 8 years privately and at music academies to students from young children to adults at beginning to advanced levels. Working with different individuals always expands my way of teaching and my perspectives on how to share and teach. It's an ever-lasting renewing game. Ive been learning a lot from my students by exchanging my perspectives musically and practically with them who all hold different perspectives and different passions and goals, and I am grateful for that. I've played piano and saxophone for over 25 years and studied jazz composition at Berklee College of Music. The teachers that I was fortunate enough to learn from as I grew up were so important in my musical development, and they kept me interested in continuing with music! I understand just how important specialized attention to talents and interests are in beginners and all other levels. So my focus is always trying to make sure my students are enjoying their instruments every step of the way, while providing the structure and expert assistance that will bring the progress that students need to experience. Depending on the level of the student, there are three structures of lessons I provide. The course for beginners includes introduction to sound, keyboard of piano, touch, playing from the scores, synchronization of hands. It is taught with easy classic exercises and well-known pieces like Scarlatti sonatas,Czerni etudes and Bach's two/three voice inventions. During intermediate level course the main focus is on pedals, basic dynamics of performance, two-three voice patterns and phrasing, Finally, the last but not least, the course for advanced students includes introduction to the form of classical sonatas of Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, virtuoso etudes of Chopin, Liszt, more complex articulation and more complex romantic pieces like Hungarian Rhapsodies,Ballads and Scherzi. Each student is a different starting point depending on playing ability and age among a multitude of other factors. I am willing to negotiate to give any help the student needs at any level. However, for beginners we will always start learning by ear, as well as singing and clapping (sound before symbol). For more advanced students, we would include that in some way but I am more catering to each individual need. Read More

I cater each lesson to each individual students needs. The thing that I love about teaching private lessons is that each and every student is different. Whereas with group and classroom teaching, you try to make each student fit the mold, private students, I try to fit YOUR mold! What makes you tick? What is your passion? What drove you to want to learn your instrument? Who inspires you? I look forward to learning all these things and MORE about you! Read More
Instruments: Piano Voice Music
My teaching style is me. I work one on one with each individual student as to their age, ability and how they learn. No one size fits all and each individual learns the same concept a bit differently. I make sure both piano and voice students understand fully what the lessons are about so they can practice at home and move forward, and understand. We have fun because I'm nuts...have a sense of humor. Read More
Instruments: Piano Flute
For me it is really important to see students learning and advancing in music. Understanding every student needs and abilities allows me to set up clear and objective goals for every lesson. Keeping motivating the students through certifying their progress helps them to keep learning. It is also important for me that each student has fun, otherwise I do not feel like I am doing my job!
