I am a professional recorder player and piano accompanist who perform regularly in New York City and arboad. I also hold full time music teacher position at a high school as well as an after school piano teacher at an elementary school. In 2018, I graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in London, and continued with my MA in music education from Columbia Univsersity from 2020-21. That is my approach to teaching, I do my best to instill a love and passion for music in each of my students. I will never force my students to do something they don't enjoy and I promise to make learning piano (even the technical aspects) a fun experience. For younger students I like the Alfreds method books . I also use the Piano Adventures books as well as Hal Leonard for adults. I like to combine what the student is looking for musically and build upon that while supplementing the method book. For younger students I tried to engage them by making the lesson fun. If an adult is interested in popular music I supplement the lesson with a method book that is geared toward popular music. Read More
