For my beginning students, I select Schaum (Books 1-3) for piano lessons, and Benners Book One for theory lessons. The Schaum methods offers bright and color-coded books, which reflects that various learning levels. For teens and adult beginners, I use the James Bastien "Older Beginner Series or John Thompson series to get them started.
