I taught children beginner piano schools K-5 in an afterschool program and have been teaching aspiring musicians mostly online since 2020. This gives an opportunity to build a really solid foundation of music theory and music reading at the same time. Older beginners I take through a checklist of basic theory fundamentals of my own creation, basic chords and basic scales. Then we choose a song to learn that applies that foundation.
