Fun is the goal of each student because a student enjoying themselves will always want to practice and be successful. I try to incorporate as much learning in a light, fun filled environment as possible to keep the student interested. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for their gift/talent. Therefore, it’s important that each student develops at their own pace. I'm currently a graduate assistant at UGA. I am principal violist of the University of Georgia Symphony Orchestra and violist of the Hodgson String Trio. I am also an orchestral instructor for the UGA String Project. I have performed in several orchestras in the southeast United States including the Bryan Symphony, Owensboro Philarmonic, Augusta Symphony, Oak Ridge Symphony, and Albany Symphony Orchestras. Getting students to a certain level to where they are more confident in their abilities is the goal want to set.
