I am a lifelong student of music. I began playing the guitar at a very young age, 7 years old, and was playing in public by the time I was 12 years old. Around this time I took a correspondence course in Arranging from the then Berklee School of Music, which did eventually also become my alma mater and I even began teaching for my teacher. I have played and performed throughout the new England states as a solo performer and in bands/ensembles, and have had some of my orchestral works performed by the Prague Symphony Orchestra, truly an achievement for a kid who grew up as a rocker. As a lover of multiple genres of music, I aim to improve technique, versatility, and musicianship with my teaching. I recently graduated Cum Laude from the Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Music Business. During my time in school, I performed throughout the Boston area at venues such as the Middle East and the Berklee Performance Center. After graduating, I was able to tour through parts of New England and perform at venues ranging from small night clubs to large festivals, including the Mud Run Rock Gods Tribute Festival in Howland, Maine. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Each student is provided a weekly practice journal. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. I have a great love of Jazz and the American Song Book.I attended Berklee School of Music and studied arranging and Jazz Composition and graduated magnum cum laude.
